Our Purpose And Values
IntegralCareer has one purpose: to fix a global crisis by creating accessible, and rigorous career services. We believe that everyone on this planet, almost 8 billion, has a nature and nurture talent, that no one can replicate. This is now evidenced by Dr Viviene Ming’s* (Socos) AI research on hundreds of millions of people. Individuals now have more power than ever to unlimited, two-way online access to ideas, knowledge, people, and increasingly lower technology and energy costs.
However, 90% of our clients, from all sectors and income brackets, claim that they have never had comprehensive career consulting to date. Instead of a professional level type career consulting service, such as is found in medicine, law, accounting, etc, they have had to make do with psychometric tests, ‘milk rounds’ at university, conversations with mentors, friends and family members as they have reported to us.
.
Career Consulting Needs To Be A Professional Level Service
This is quite alarming, given that this is true for everyone, even those who attended the most elite educational institutions. What is more alarming, is that a career is not only a source of livelihood but also increasingly today recognised as a source of purpose, in many parts of the world. Why shouldn’t this industry be on par with the most elite professional services? If management consulting can be a professional level, where the impact on individuals can be marginal, why can’t career consulting? We feel that what is missing, is proper analysis, of the client’s most valuable asset: their life and work experience through disciplines ranging from neuroscience to business, quantitative to qualitative among many others.
.
Technological Change Urgently Requires A New Career Services Model
We are now in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, with exponential technological change automating every industry. The careers of humans have and will continue to be dismantled and reconstructed in unrecognisable ways. Joyfully, what is emerging, is that human skills, i.e. creativity, emotional intelligence, will be the most valued, as AI can cover so many other routine tasks (according to the World Economic Forum, Deloitte Singularity Services, among others).
Career Services can no longer be about a lifelong choice, at an early age between a few options. The new model requires each individual, to identify their one-off, human, nature/nature talents, and understand how to transition those skills into the future.
